For 50 years, La Montañita Coop in Nob Hill has been a treasured part of the heritage of Albuquerque’ historic Nob Hill neighborhood, serving customers from near and far, as well as supporting local farmers and ranchers. Located in the historic Nob Hill Business Center for close to 40 years, the Coop has served as an essential anchoring business in the area. It brings healthy food to our tables at home and in surrounding restaurants, a community-oriented draw to the neighborhood, and food security to the people it serves.

The recent parking fees of $4.95 per hour created by the new property owner, Heritage Real Estate, have done serious damage to the Coop’s ability to operate in its current location. Negotiations between the Coop and Heritage continue, and the outcome is uncertain.
